The YAWC Network Council has re-appointed Genevie Babygirl Johnson (Mrs) as the President of Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network, Liberia Chapter in accordance with the constitution of the pro-women movement for the next two years. Her re-appointment is stemmed from the fact that she exhibited astuteness in mobilizing and leading members of the country’s chapter since 2017.
Genevie presently works as a Broadcaster and Networking Officer at a Radio Network in Liberia. She is a trained conflict management candidate of the Center for Peace Education International and has been certificated at numerous training workshops, seminars and conferences about Leadership, Women Empowerment and Diplomacy.
She is passionate about helping the orphans and children living with special disabilities. In 2017, she started the full operation of a charity organization called Chrislena Foundation which has over the years provided basic life skill trainings and donation of clothes, food items and school supplies to the vulnerable in society. Apart from running her own initiatives, she is also a volunteer at many other local and international organizations.
Genevie is a motivated young woman whose dream is to help other women succeed.
She holds a BSc. degree in Communications and Minor in Public Administration from the University of Liberia (UL).
Similarly, Vivian Akoto-Blamah has been re-appointed as the Vice President for the Network in the country. Vivian merited the position based on her contributions to the Chapter when she was previously appointed a year ago for the same position.
