The Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network has reappointed Lindah Atim as the President for the Uganda Chapter of the YAWC Network for another two-year term. This will be her second term in office as the leader of the East African country’s chapter of the pro women network.
Lindah Atim is a seasoned banker with over 10 Years in management and leadership roles. She is passionate about change management, people development and leading with Empathy. She currently works with Stanbic Bank Uganda as the Business Manager, Integrated Channels Department. She is a mentor with the Stanbic bank Uganda national schools’ championships, a project aimed at empowering the young people to be responsible leaders and job creators. She is the General Secretary of Faniki Investment Club and a Mentor with Girls for Girls(G4G) initiative, where young ladies are empowered to be great leaders. She is also a mentor at Stanbic bank Ignite Women programme.
Ms Atim has a Trainer Performance and Monitoring Assessment (TPMA) certificate from the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group; she has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource from Uganda Management Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Makerere University.
She has been a member of the YAWC Network since 2018 and rose to become Uganda Chapter’s President in 2020. She is expected to use her experience to build a solid team to drive the growth of the Ugandan Chapter of the Network.
Hope Lilian Kunihira has also been elevated from her former position of Secretary/Treasurer to Vice President of the Uganda Chapter of the YAWC Network.
Hope Lilian is the Managing Director of Heritage Beauty Centre. She has previously worked with the United Nations’ Food and Agricultural Organisation as an Administrator, a former Administrator at Welthungerhilfe, a former General Manager at Heritage Courts Limited and a former Education Assistant at St Catherine Secondary School, Uganda.
She is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Education.
