Lindah Atim has been appointed by the Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network council as the new President of the YAWC Network, Uganda Chapter. Lindah’s nomination was stirred up through her active participation in the Network as well as her state of being in good standing as a member of the YAWC Network.

She is a seasonal banker with over 10 years experience in branch management, a passion for excellent customer service experience, sales acquisition and risk mitigation. She is a Branch Manager for Stanbic Bank, Uganda.

She is an influencer with interest in performance management, change management, problem solving, and people development as evidenced from her coaching and mentoring sessions at the Stanbic Bank National School Championships in Uganda where she mentors the youth as she prepares them to become the job creators of Uganda’s future.

She is a talented individual who is passionate about people’s motivation, with excellent servant leadership skills, creative intrapreneurial ideas, business acumen and a great trainer who is passionate about sharing information with others to promote growth and excellent performance.

In the last two years she has supported the YAWC Network Uganda fraternity as the Vice President. She has been of great support with trainings on financial literacy for the market women in Northern Uganda. This act is driven by her passion to engage women who are financially independent and economically empowered to contribute to the economic development in their communities and country at large.

Lindah also supports the women at Agape Christian Ministries International in Uganda as Treasurer of the Women Sacco whose role is to ensure that the women are financially empowered, the right investments are made on behalf of the women through financial literacy training, life skills training for the girl child, counselling and mentoring on career growth and development.

She is an excellent team player with great interpersonal and excellent communication skills, a good track of professionalism, highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.

She is a standard bank mark of excellence award winner for customer experience year 2016 with a great passion for customer centricity.

Likewise, Ireen Samalie Aturinda has been appointed as the vice to Lindah Atim for the next two years. Throughout her involvement in YAWC Network, she has exhibited a great sense of duty which is attached to every assignment given her.

Presently, she works as an Information Management Officer at one of the not-for profit organizations in Uganda.

She previously worked as a Credit Analyst and teller at Stanbic Bank Uganda and prior to that, she worked as a Research Assistant at Makerere University School of Public Health.

During her 2nd year at the University, she served as a student leader (Residential Assistant) where she was in charge of one of the University halls.

In 2019 she attended the Young African Women Congress (YAWC) in Accra Ghana and Youth Connect Africa summit in Rwanda.

Ireen Samalie Aturinda

She is passionate about women and girls, a passion she first developed while interacting with women and children as she worked as a research assistant and that passion was further strengthened when she became a mother herself.

She is a social activist who believes that when parenting is done right then a big percentage of society’s problems will be solved and the world will be a better place for everyone to live in.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from Uganda Christian University Mukono.
