The YAWC Network is a movement across Africa and the Diaspora to promote grassroots mobilisation of women across all divides for leadership and development. It stemmed from the agenda of the annual Young African Women Congress (YAWC) to see to the implementation of congress goals led by participants in their various countries. Over the years, the Network has grown and has become formidable in the issues of gender and advocacy on the continent. However, these activities have only been championed by past delegates of the Congress who are considered members of the Network. A restructured YAWC Network opens up membership for all young women of African descent living in Africa and the Diaspora which implies that one does not have to only attend the annual convocation of the congress before you become a member. You can register and become a member of the Chapter in your country or jurisdiction.
