The Executive Director of ExLA Group, Mr. Daniel Osei Tuffuor together with his Executive Assistant, Mr. Klinsman Boateng paid a working visit to the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection of the the Republic Ghana, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison at the Ministry yesterday, on behalf of ExLA Group.

The purpose of the visit was to express ExLA Group’s heartfelt gratitude to her for her role as the Guest of Honour at the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Young African Women Congress (YAWC) and also gracing the occasion of the “Akosua Frema Day”, a day that was set aside to celebrate Ghana’s First Female Chief of Staff for her achievements and contributions to nation building, at the 4th edition of the annual continental women convocation.
As a token of appreciation, Mr. Osei Tuffuor presented some branded YAWC souvenirs to her which she joyously accepted.
In her response, Mrs. Morrison stated that it is her core duty to ensure that every woman is empowered in order to make our country and continent a better place.

The visit was also to present a letter to invite Mrs. Morrison as the Guest Speaker for the ‘2000 Women Walk Against Breast Cancer’ on 26th October, 2019 in Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana under the theme, ‘Save a Breast, Secure a Nation’. This programme is part of a series activities outlined by ExLA Group for the breast cancer awareness month.

Furthermore, a discussion was opened on the 5th edition of the Young African Women Congress which also marks the 5th anniversary of the congress. In the course of the discussion, Mr. Osei Tuffuor mentioned that it is the wish of ExLA Group to partner the Gender Ministry in all her gender programme and also requested that the Minister is brought on board as Ambassador of the Young African Women Congress in the upcoming anniversary in 2020, which she gladly accepted.
