YAWC Network Liberia Chapter on today held a day-long Christmas outreach at the Christian Relief Ministry, a local orphanage and underprivileged home in Duport Road- Paynesville, Liberia.
As part of the day’s event, members of the organization donated food and non-food items to the Management of the Institution ahead of the Christmas celebration.
Items donated include Rice, Oil and Toiletries. They also donated gifts for boys and girls including footwear, underwear, watches, Christmas eyeglasses and hair accessories.
They at the same time washed, styled and braided the hair of girls at the institutions a means of barbing the hair of the boys, members of the organization provided razors and some other items that will be used at a later date.
The caretakers at the center only identified as Ma Hawa and Oretha lauded YAWC members for identifying with them especially during this festive season..
You can start a fundraiser by yourself and can help the poor who are affected and neglected. Money is not always the way to help the poor. You can get involved by giving them anything that you are capable of. Many a penny makes a pond; drops of water make the ocean. So if we work together we can change the world in a better way.
